The Montecucco wine follows a very strict procedure and that band, which envelops the bottleneck, represents the final conferment that the Consortium grants to all those wines which got trough the severe examination from the Internal Committee. Once achieved the recognition of its own products from Valoritalia, each Consortium’s wine manufacturer can freely decide whether or not these products will be evaluated from a committee composed by enologists and specialists. In order to do so, products will be anonymously tasted and, in case of a positive evaluation, they will be qualified with the identification band. Given the guarantee of quality of these products, The Montecucco’s Consortium intends to put itself out and protect all its customers by applying a stamp with its logo on all those bands already marked with numbers. At present, Montecucco recognize six different types of wine: Montecucco San Giovese Docg, Montecucco Doc Vermentino, Montecucco Doc Rosé, Montecucco Doc Red wine, Montecucco Doc White wine, Montecucco Doc Vin Santo and Vin Santo Partridge Eye.
